How to Cancel Your BeenVerified Subscription
Cancel your BeenVerified subscription and stop recurring charges. Step-by-step account, phone and email methods, plus how to remove your own listing.
To cancel a BeenVerified subscription, log in to your account, open the account or membership settings, and select the option to cancel. If you cannot find it there, contact BeenVerified customer care by phone or email and ask them to stop the recurring billing. Below are the details for each method.
Before you start
Two things worth knowing. First, cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not remove your personal information from the BeenVerified search results. Those are two separate tasks, and this page covers both. Second, cancellation usually takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep access until then and are not refunded for the remaining days unless BeenVerified agrees otherwise.
Have your login email to hand. If you signed up on a mobile device through an app store, your billing may run through Apple or Google rather than BeenVerified directly, which changes where you cancel. More on that below.
Cancel through your online account
This is the most direct route for most people.
- Go to the BeenVerified website and log in with the email and password you used to sign up.
- Open the account menu. Look for a label such as Account, Settings, or Membership. It is usually reached from your name or an account icon.
- Find the subscription or billing section within those settings.
- Select the option to cancel or turn off automatic renewal.
- Follow any confirmation prompts. You may be asked why you are leaving. Answer or skip as you prefer.
- Look for an on-screen confirmation and a follow-up email. Keep that email.
If you complete these steps and do not receive confirmation, treat the cancellation as unconfirmed and use one of the methods below to be sure.
Cancel by phone
If the account menu does not show a cancel option, or you want spoken confirmation, phone BeenVerified customer care. The current number is listed on the contact or customer support page of their website. Call during their stated support hours.
- Find the customer care number on the BeenVerified contact page.
- Call and state that you want to cancel your subscription and stop all future charges.
- Give the email address and any billing details tied to the account so they can locate it.
- Ask for a cancellation reference or confirmation email before you hang up.
Cancel by email
You can also send a written cancellation request. A written record is useful if you later dispute a charge.
- Find the support email address on the BeenVerified contact page.
- Write from the email address on the account.
- State clearly that you want to cancel your subscription and stop recurring billing. Include the account email and, if you have it, the last four digits of the card being charged.
- Ask them to reply with written confirmation once the subscription is cancelled.
If you signed up through an app store
If you subscribed inside a mobile app, the charge may be managed by Apple or Google, not BeenVerified. Cancelling on the website will not stop those charges.
- iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Find BeenVerified in the list and cancel it there.
- Android: Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Find BeenVerified and cancel.
Check your card or bank statement to confirm which company is actually billing you. The merchant name on the statement tells you where to cancel.
Confirm the charges have stopped
Cancellation is not finished until the money stops. Watch your next statement. If BeenVerified charges you again after you cancelled, contact them with your confirmation reference and ask for a reversal. If they do not resolve it, you can dispute the charge with your bank or card provider using your written cancellation as evidence.
Removing your information is a separate step
Cancelling stops you paying. It does not take your own profile out of BeenVerified's search results. To do that, you need to opt out.
- Go to the BeenVerified opt-out page, reached from the privacy or opt-out link in the site footer.
- Search for your own listing and select the record that matches you.
- Follow the removal request steps. You will usually need to confirm your request, often by email.
- Complete any verification they ask for, then keep the confirmation.
Give the removal time to take effect. Then search for yourself again to check the listing is gone.
Be honest about what removal can do
Opting out of BeenVerified does not remove your data everywhere, and it is not permanent. People-search sites rebuild their records from upstream data feeds, public sources and other brokers. A profile you removed can reappear within a few months once the site pulls a fresh copy of the underlying data. This is normal and it is not a sign you did anything wrong. It means opt-outs need repeating.
Some of the underlying information cannot be removed at all. Court filings, property records, corporate registrations and voter rolls are public by law. A broker may stop displaying them, but the public records themselves remain public. No opt-out changes that.
Cancelling stops the billing. Opting out hides the current listing. Neither one deletes public records, and neither one is permanent.
Doing this across many sites
BeenVerified is one broker among dozens. If your information is on BeenVerified, it is almost certainly on several similar sites, each with its own opt-out process. Working through them by hand, then repeating the checks every few months, takes real time.
Vanish is a Mac app that finds where data brokers publish your personal information and sends CCPA deletion demands on your behalf. It is one way to automate the repeat work instead of tracking each site yourself. You can also keep doing it manually using the steps above at no cost.
Quick summary
- Cancel through your account settings, by phone, or by email.
- If you subscribed in an app, cancel through Apple or Google instead.
- Keep the confirmation and check your next statement.
- Opt out separately to hide your listing.
- Expect listings to return over time and plan to repeat the opt-out.
Common questions
Will cancelling BeenVerified remove my information from their search results?
No. Cancelling only stops the recurring charge. To take your own profile out of the search results, you must use the BeenVerified opt-out page separately, which is a different process from managing your paid subscription.
Can I get a refund when I cancel BeenVerified?
Cancellation usually takes effect at the end of your current billing period and does not automatically refund the remaining days. If you believe you were charged in error, contact BeenVerified with your cancellation confirmation and ask about a refund, or dispute the charge with your bank.
Why am I still being charged after I cancelled?
Check the merchant name on your statement. If you subscribed through an app, the charge may run through Apple or Google, and you must cancel there instead. If BeenVerified itself is still billing you, contact them with your cancellation reference and, if needed, dispute the charge with your card provider.
Does opting out of BeenVerified last forever?
No. Data brokers rebuild their records from upstream feeds and public sources, so a removed listing can reappear within a few months. You will need to check and repeat the opt-out periodically.
Can I remove public records that appear on BeenVerified?
No. Court filings, property records, corporate registrations and voter rolls are public by law. A site may stop displaying them after an opt-out, but the underlying public records remain accessible and cannot be deleted.
Doing this for all 54 brokers by hand?
Vanish finds every listing about a person, sends the deletion demands from their own email, then re-checks later and tells you which ones actually came down. The scan is free — you only pay if there is something worth removing.
