Your home address is published online right now
Search your own name. Your street address, phone number, age and a list of your relatives are sitting on pages you never signed up for. Vanish finds every one of them, sends the legal demand to take them down, and checks later to prove it worked.

The problem
An entire industry publishes you for a living
Data brokers buy public records, marketing lists and app data, assemble it into a profile of you, and put it online for anyone to read. You never agreed to it and most people never find out until it matters.
Your address
Street address and how long you have lived there — often with a map and the names of everyone in the household.
Your phone and email
Current and old numbers, personal and work addresses, the pairs that let a stranger reach you or reset an account.
Your family
Age, relatives and previous addresses, cross-linked so an old apartment leads straight to where you live today.
California's CCPA and CPRA give you the right to demand deletion. The catch is that there are dozens of these companies, each burying its own opt-out process, and doing it by hand costs an afternoon per person.
How it works
Four steps, about fifteen minutes of your time
The rest is the brokers' 45-day clock, and Vanish tracks it for you.
Tell it who to clear
Name, any former or maiden name, every email address and phone number, and every address you have lived at.
Old details matter more than current ones — brokers link a person by matching an old phone number or a college-era address, so leaving those out hides half the listings.

Run the scan
Vanish searches that identity across the web, then checks 54 known data brokers one at a time and captures the exact URL of every listing it finds — which is what the opt-out forms ask for.
Anything it could not read is reported as unknown, never as clean.

Send the deletion demands
For every broker that accepts email, Vanish writes a CCPA/CPRA request citing the specific statute, attaches the listing URLs so they cannot claim they could not find the record, and demands written confirmation inside 45 days.
They go out from your own mailbox — brokers reject third-party requests — spaced apart, after you confirm once.

Prove it actually worked
A week later, press Re-check removals. Vanish revisits every listing and reports which have genuinely come down, marking them removed and un-marking anything that reappears.
When a site throws up a bot wall it says so rather than counting it as a win.

What you get
Everything in one app, running on your own machine
Brokers, tracked
People-search sites, B2B contact databases, marketing-data giants, property records and mail suppression — each with its own opt-out route and re-check interval.
Real legal demands
Requests cite Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.105, 1798.120 and 1798.121, with a GDPR Article 17 variant for European controllers.
The 45-day clock
Vanish tracks when each request went out and can chase any broker that blows the statutory deadline.
Verified removals
Re-visits each listing and tells you what is actually gone — the part every subscription service asks you to take on faith.
Breach exposure
Shows which known breaches an email address appears in and exactly what leaked — passwords, card data, addresses. Optional.
An exportable report
Found, requested, removed, with dates. Useful evidence if you ever file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Privacy
A privacy tool that collects nothing
There is no Vanish account, no server, no analytics and no telemetry. Your details live in one file on your own Mac. Your email password is encrypted into the macOS Keychain and only ever handed to your own mail provider. The licence is verified offline by signature, so the app never phones home to check whether you paid.
Honest limits
What Vanish will not do
Every competitor buries this. Read it before you buy.
- It cannot delete public records. Court filings, property records, corporate registrations and voter rolls are public by law. Any product claiming to erase those is lying to you.
- Listings come back. Brokers rebuild from upstream feeds, so names reappear in a few months. This is maintenance, not a one-time job.
- It cannot force a company to obey the law. Vanish makes the request properly formed, dated and documented. Some brokers still drag their feet.
- It never submits web forms for you. Typing someone's personal details into a stranger's form is a decision a person should make.
- It never uploads identity documents. A few brokers demand a driver's licence. Vanish will not send one on your behalf.
- It never guesses. A check that is blocked is reported as unknown. Not finding something is not the same as it not being there.

FAQ
Questions people actually ask
Why does it need my email password?
Deletion requests only count if they come from you — brokers reject anything sent by a third party, and their confirmation links land in your inbox. Vanish signs in to your mailbox to send them. For Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and iCloud you create an app password, a separate code just for this app, so your real password is never used. The app links you straight to the right page. The code is encrypted into the macOS Keychain and only ever sent to your own mail provider.
How is this different from DeleteMe or Incogni?
They are subscriptions — you pay every year and take their word for what was removed. Vanish is a one-time purchase, runs on your machine, shows you the exact listing URLs, and re-checks them so you can see for yourself what came down.
Will my information stay gone?
No, and nobody can honestly promise otherwise. Brokers rebuild their records from upstream sources, so names typically resurface within a few months. Re-run the scan every couple of months; there is no extra charge for doing so.
Does it work outside California?
Yes, with a caveat. The requests cite California law, which is the strongest lever available, and most large brokers apply their opt-out process to everyone regardless of where they live. If you are outside California you have fewer legal levers, but the same removal routes.
Can I use it for my whole family?
Yes. Each $49 code covers one person and codes stack, so buy one per person. If you are doing this for clients or more than a few people, Pro removes the limit entirely.
What about my business listings?
There is a keep-public list. Anything you put on it — your company site, your portfolio, your Google Business Profile — is never scanned or requested, so you cannot accidentally delete the listings that bring you work.
Is it safe to open?
Yes. The app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple, so it opens normally with no security warning.
What if it doesn't find anything?
Then don't buy it. The scan is free precisely so you can check first, and there is a 14-day refund on top of that.
